In Our Hands, 2020. Box set of 24 cards with images of mudras on ecosystems, with instructions and effect for each hand position, and an explanatory booklet.

Mudras are hand positions that can alter our mood, attitudes and perception and that may deepen our awareness and concentration. They are an integral part of some yoga practices and other wellbeing traditions, and some are recognizable day-to-day gestures that could be linked to ancient rituals in various cultures. Since the onset of the Industrial Revolution, humans have changed ecosystems at a speed greater than at any other period in history, so much so that a new geological era has been named in our honour. The choice of continuing this relationship in a destructive or constructive way is in our hands.

In Our Hands presents the possibility of building a bridge between our selves and our surroundings; to suggest a correlation between our state of health and that of the planet. The series of images is conceived as a toolkit to help us care more for ourselves, in order to better care for each other and nature – to protect, restore, learn from or simply be in and appreciate it.
